Exclamation what is this ??? i found it inside my vacuum hose

Hi guys,

i would like to know what in the world is this ???
i found it stuck inside one of my silicon hoses when i remove some of them to install my boost controller....

these hoses are meant to either connect from the precharge and wastegate solenoids..... i just realised that it's inside my hose... no idea if it came out from the actuator pots or came from the solenoids...

or is this those so called restrictor pills?

I suggest that you reinstall the prespool pill in an oem length prespool line. The pill with the smaller hole is the one that goes there. You may have a difficult time getting proper boost control with no pill in the prespool line.

without the restriction pill you stock setup twins will only make 7 psi max..........so put it back in if your boost controller uses the stock solenoid to control boost. If you are using boost controller that comes with its own solenoid, such as Apexi AVC-R, then leave it out.

And if you lose them you can use Holley jets, #59 and #64 I believe.

It is how it's designed for the old version stock twins. FDs made before 1996 (I think) have the restrictor pills placed inside the vacuum lines at the pre-control actuators. The later versions have them built in.

if you are running stock twins and stock boost control solenoid, then you will make only 7 psi max without the restrictor pills

TPO must have known what he was doing as he reinstalled it when the hose job was done.
