What is this hole, and why is it puking oil?

Hey guys,

I recently had my engine rebuilt. I've finally got it installed, and was prepping it today. I filled up all the fluids and cranked it (no fuel or spark) to get everything lubed properly. After about 20 seconds of cranking, oil started squirting out of this hole.

Can anyone tell me what the hole is, what it's supposed to do, and what I should do about it? It's located on the rear iron, below the oil filter pedestal, to the right of the coolant temp sensor.

Thanks guys. I feel like an idiot. I had the oil pressure sensor installed in the hole above the rear spark plugs.

Thanks for the help.

The real question is, did you notice it had no oil pressure?
You should definitely be watching that on a new engine start up.
