What the hell is this part?

Help! I'm in the midst of a project and have no clue what this is or where I got it...

Any help would be appreciated!

No idea.
I just went thru over 100 pictures I took when I rebuilt my engine, DETAILED pictures of just about everything, and...I don't see that bracket at all.

Sorry.

Sorry.
Thanks for trying bud. It's the exact same material in color and feel as the fan relay bracket so I'm assuming it goes to my car but my tech who has tons of RX-7 experience can't recognize it either. We do run a shop, so it's possible it's just *a part* not *my part* but how did it wind up in my tray...?

Any other ideas? I'm working on the front of the car, I was installing a second oil cooler, had to remove the bumper...I changed out my aftermarket crap fans from PO to originals...replaced my washer fluid reservoir and coolant reservoir....? I'm clueless.

I want to say it goes on the power steering pump, somewhere near where the fluid reservoir chamber tank is, and where the power steer hose with the banjo bolt mounts to the pump. It sort of looks/reminds me of a bracket that goes in there but it may not be.

I'll check the service manual tomorrow - it has a detailed view of all the components to the power steering system in it, I'll report back! Thanks for the tip.

Yeah...I am going to have to say it isn't an FD part...
I mean, I took pictures of EVERYTHING when I did my rebuild, from two or three angles most of the time...and I just don't see this bracket at all!

Thank you for your help and input guys! It will be designated as a donor bracket for something I need to mount and look factory-like lol

Thanks!

N315-16-111 "cover, peeping hole"

No, its not that but I just wanted to type that part description. It could be re-purposed as the above though...
If you take a really close look at it with one eye closed you will see what I mean.

Looks similar, but not the same as a bracket on the ABS pump on an RHD car, not sure if the LHD ones are a little different?
