Yep, coolant temp sensor. There should be a black wire coming from the area underneath the crossover pipe that connents to it.

Coolant Level sensor, not temp. It will give you that anoying buzzer, watch out for a piece of plastic the dealership wants alot.... like every other part

exactly but if you have a PFC or something that can monitor your coolant tempature i would remove the pin from the ecu and go from there. easy fix. or just run the wire directly without the plug. not sure if this is the correct advice. just throwing out ideas. someone correct me if im wrong

It's Malloy Mazda....a Mazda dealership on the east coast. Guy to talk to is Ray Crowe. Becareful when installing the sensor that you don't over tighten it. It's got plastic housing with plastic threads that interface with the block. They're somewhat known to strip out the threads or break off the threads and start leaking coolant over a long period of time.
