Cool What gearbox have i got?

Just a quick one,,, purchased a geabox of a guy that claims its a recon and only done 500 miles. Now when i had a good look at it today i noticed it was slightly different. Its definatley an FD3s gearbox because it looks exactly the same as mine apart from 1 thing. The gear selector leaver is thin and doesnt have the bulge lower down like the one on my car. Have i just got a later spec gearbox and will everything be fine?

Perhaps one is a stock shifter and one is an aftermarket shifter

Being in the UK, its most likely a JDM box (Pretty much all FD's in the UK are JDM). I don't know the external visual differences though I'm afraid.

Gear lever didn't change over time and always used bolts to retain - no socket heads. Short shifter should have an additional plinth where it mounts to extension housing. If it's a late box, should be one less switch too.
