The tranny will shift fine unless you try to shift quick - what is it worth?

I've seen them selling for $200-300 depending on mileage, plus shipping. But it's at least a hundred bucks to take it to a tranny shop to change that synchro alone, and it would be silly to not do it before installing into the next car.

Next time I suggest using the search in the for sale section. It will give you many reference points for pricing, although it might reflect the asking price more than the final sale price.

Buying from a trusted vender (i.e. Fritz Flynn, FDNewby and others) would make a big difference in the price to me.

I would not give more than $150 or $200 for a low milage transmission with the 5th syncro gone. Change the syncro yourself, but another thing to consider is the front/rear seals, the 3 switches on the side, and a shift spring upgrade.
