Question i thought i had a pep

i'm having a bit of a debate with someone; i'm hoping you can help. first he told me i have a peg. i didn't think 94's came peg. now he says i have a touring. i thought only 93's were touring.
i have a silver 94. this is what it had when i got it a year ago:

black leather
glass sunroof
fog lights
rear spoiler
rear windshield wiper
no strut bar

what do i have?

What color is the interior?

If you register your car on the Mazda website, it'll tell you what you have.
But as far as I know, only the 93's glass sunroofs.......

BTW, I have a 94 PEG
Metal sunroof, spoiler, tan leather, no Bose, black interior paneling, tan carpet.

Only a 94 Touring came with a moonroof. Easy way to tell touring and pep apart is touring has the Bose system.

Hmm, I think here, people prefer painted sunroofs. Plus with the metal ones, you get the "double bubble" top.

Like I said earlier, the MazdaUSA site says I have a PEg, and my sunroof matches the DB on the top of the roof. I'm 99% sure the sunroof wasn't replaced on mine, but there's that 1%.....

A glass roof still has the double bubble, it's not a noticable.

US echo JDM (obviously) - and the glass sunroof replaced the metal version. FWIW - the glass version is actually a cost-cutting measure - which doesn't necessarily mean it's worse...

anyone had any experience with putting a sunroof in a car? it leaking in the rain isnt really a big deal cause i try to avoid rain. when it rains my car fogs up cause if u open the window the rain pours all over the window/mirror controls and thats pretty annoying

Yeah Mazdagirl, I have the same model as you, and I believe it's a 94 touring.

I think the PEP's didn't come with the Bose stereo's.

Yep it's a touring. Only 94's had the glass roof. PEP/PEG were kinda used in the same refference,, so basicly there were R-2's, base, PEP/PEG, and touring's available in 94-95. PEP/PEG were not available in 93 only touring. PEP/PEG were basically stripped tourings (no bose, no rear wiper) but could have leather, cruise, and sun roof. As far as I know only the 94 touring was fully loaded with glass moon roof.

glass moonroof is 94 only in america (I think) and is very rare compared to painted. I had one 94 that was had a glass moonroof, bose, black panels but tan seats and carpet all stock.

Now I have a vr 93 touring with a glass moonroof. I put it in.

as far as I know all interior in 94-95 were black interior with tan interior being the carpet and seats only. One of the nice improvements made to the later models. I thing red interiors were an exception to this rule and everything was red in a red interior car. I can't say that I've heard of a silver with red interior in 93 so this would have only been in 94-95 or any other color car with red interior other than a silver 94-95. Anyone know for absolute ? ? ? ?

93 silver and black cars were available with red interiors. For the first part of the 94 model year, red interior was available in silver and black cars but they still used all black interior panels.

Leave it to Mazda to simplify things in 94-95. I guess if it was a specific interior color in 93 then the whole interior was that color, where as in 94-95 all interior pieces were black , and the seats and carpet were the only thing that were other than black. I bet the Black on red car's looked pretty sweet.

If it's a 94, and has a rear wiper, it's a touring.

Hehe all this debate on meaningless options. Don't know about you all but driving the 7 you don't really have time to enjoy those small things cause once you put your hands on the steering whells everything transforms around you and all your super power unleash and turn you into Schumacher...wtf am I talking bout LMFAO! 93 Base for life! Added features are nonsense!

Two tone? What do you mean? All I see is black and more black.
