I can't count how many times i have seen the dreaded "what type of oil" and last but not least "best oil filter". Guess he was just tired of the crap but hey he found a new fourm and he still has his rx7 so all is good i guess.

Cmon, I'm a kid at 18...19 in May and this is my FD. I had it rebuilt and single turbo'd and I didn't even blow it before then. That's how careful I am with my car. I think it looks pretty good now too.

I'm not trying to make this a thread about age and what not. But, I think its more about how stubborn new young owners are and their lack of knowledge of the rotary. They think it's just another honda, which it's not.

It's also about people not paying attention, and being lazy. A little digging will uncover a lot of information, and unfortunately, a lot of people these days just don't feel like doing the legwork themselves. I can completely understand how some of the "guru's" here have been burned out on BOV, or coolant seal questions.

You know, there are a lot of FD owners out there who might not have tons of cash to throw at the car due to family obligations etc, but with some hard work and ingenuity they have some really fast cars. No offense Gene, but I'm not buying your arguement

I completely agree. That's why I don't have about 2k posts. I really tired of the same threads over and over.

And that is precisely why I don't have 2k posts either.. Even though I have asked some questions that I am sure have been asked and answered before many times.....

They sure do. The 350z crowd is ruthless too. I personally can't wait to get into another FD... just waiting for the right one to come along.

Sorry bud....sure you car looks ok, but that doesn't mean **** to me. Money can buy anything and everything you would/could ever want to put on your ride. But it can NOT buy life experiences, knowledge, love, respect and appreciation for a mans machine.

I didn't mean to bring the money aspect into it. I meant to emphasize the fact that I know how to take care of a delicate machine and don't half *** it.

Which if you look into that notion, can and does in my case, reflect my experiences, knowledge, love, respect, and appreciation for my or anyones rx-7.

I'm done internet fighting with you Internal because that statement "you('re) car looks ok, but that doesn't mean **** to me." Reflects that you yourself "do NOT [buy] appreciate man's (this includes every man...yours and mine) machine."

This fact that you don't respect and appreciate other people and their cars simply shows me that you are one of "those" people we keep talking about in this thread.

I'll say it again...I'm done internet fighting with you.

Sorry but but at the end of the day you are still only 18 and just because you pay someone to build your engine and slap a single turbo on it doesnt mean that you actually know anything - try not to take offence, its not an attack, its a fact.

I have owned RX-7's for nearly 10 years and sometimes I still feel like a noob with some of the problems I come across! I do all the work on my cars myself but over the years i have learnt the easy way which usually turns into the hard way and finally the right way to do things. The guys on here have been unbelievably helpful with some of my issues and I am very gratefull and I dont know where I would be without thier help! So in turn I offer what I know that others may not. I like to help people but I will not help lazy people!

The noobs on here get very tiring with thier "looking at buying my first car, or just got my FD, and what oil should I use" bullshit questions! They want to be heard/noticed cause they have a new toy. I just dont even bother reading the threads now unless its actually a decent worthwile thread with a genuine problem or a good read.

Once again, I completely agree. I am not a rotary guru and do not know everything their is to know. But I do know the proper procedure of researching and the proper care for my car. I wish I could have rebuilt it and done all the work myself but I simply do/did not have the time. I am not taking offense. Trying just to make it seem like I'm not the ******* badguy in this thread. But when you say I am 18 and do not know anything. I would be more worried about the guys who are stupid enough to run their cars when AIT's are too high and blow their engine (stupid mistakes).

I'm never going to mention my age in a thread ever again.
