What does this thing do ?!?

Alright,

Take a look at the picture I have provided. On the UIM, on the back left part of it there is a black thing connected to it... What is this and what is the purpose of it and can it be eliminated in the NON-SEQ, my question is because I have two UIM's one of them was sold w/ the car, and it already has this thing eliminated so Im trying to figure out what it is...

Mikey,
The TPS is on connected to the throttle body, not the UIM.

meddle,
His AWS is already blocked off.

It's the Idle Speed Control (ISC). It increases airflow at idle when your engine is under load (i.e. air conditioner, headlights, fans, etc.). It's detailed in a few pages of the FSM, starting on page F-81. The decision to eliminate is a matter of personal preference. Be sure to read the section in FSM before you make your final call. I left mine in.

Depends on what ECU you are running. The stock ECU uses that to control the idle as Jonski said. If you have a programmable ECU, it should be a problem removing it. However, if you don't, you'll probably have some fun idling problems.

I'm running the power fc and don't need it anymore. I remove anything I don't need to clean things up.
