hah. this has happned to somebody before, i just hope the read my thread...

never wrecked 92 fd, mechanicaly "sound". absolute, only thing i changed was the indash cd player with a new updated model. simple, twist some wires an connect some harnesses, but now my parking lights are on at a low voltage when the key turned to acc or on!?

side markers, rear lights, parking and fog lights all come on, but when i turn my switch to the parking light "on" mode, they all really turn on and get considerably brighter. headlights turn on with one more click as usual. everything else seems to be ok and in factory working order. so now, i cant have my radio on while, say, washing the car without my damn lights being on at some wierd low wattage in between "dim" and fully on.

every time i sit in her something new and "exciting" happens. when i put my white guages faces in i lost my low wiper setting for some reason, it never came back either, and its my favorite one!

which wires did you tap in to for the positive connection? did you use the stock harness and an ez-connect harness to hook up the stereo?

as for the white face gauges, were they the indiglo type?

 

maybe you have the illumination circuit (ILL) wires and the + ignition wires touching together somewhere? if not, id take the stereo back! its gotta be just wires somewhere.
