True. I was thinking that as I submitted it.

Sorry I guess started this. LOL

I origanal thought it used the chassis from an accord. but then edited it to say that it was only the doner car.

at 50k, I would build a GTM Mulsanne from Factory 5. 2250 lbs and a corvette engine and suspension (kind of) and a porsche transaxle.

im getting a steal on this at 16k, if i have 30k in it including the price im paying ill be happy, i just sold my fd i had over 50k in and took a huge loss, if i build another fd im going to dump well over 30k in it. if i build this i can get well over 30k when its completed, if i have to sell it.

When i said "true". I was thinking the same as you. I don't think it will work out for the reasons you sugested. But the gear set in that trans might be better suited for your build.

I have been looking (dreaming) of the K1 since it came out. Have you been over to their forum? There was another dreamer over there that was dead set on putting a rotary in one of these. Naturally the tranny is the first problem but there will be many others. You better have lots of time, cash and know-how to pull it off. I love rotaries as much as anybody on here but building this car correctly is a big enough challenge without trying to mash together parts that weren't intended for it. Hell, why don't you throw in 2 13bs while you are at it, one for the front wheels and one for the rear? But hey, big ideas are where big things start I guess so more power to you if you make it happen. There was a 20b powered DeLorean built once and that has a mid mount: http://www.eliseusa.com/rotary.htm Get some ideas there.

As for the GTM... nice but a completely different personality. It makes me think of the db9.

If you get anywhere with this let us know. I will then copy you after being a nay-sayer. ;-)

The GTM screams kit car to me. The K1 looks like it could be a future production vehicle.
How about a Noble?

It only uses the best parts.... like the H22 2.2 liter honda VTEC motor!

Look at a K20... racing engine...

I popped the hood on my friends accord, and was like: HOLY ****! the other day.
Through it was the 2.4 liter variant (aka k24, not to be mistaken for the ka24de nissan truck motor)
