this car weighs 1,822 lbs and i think the torque or (lack of) from the 13b would be perfect.

GoodfellaFD3S 01-05-07 08:01 AM

Pretty bad lookin' little car. What is it?

RE-Amemiya 01-05-07 08:23 AM

Def. interesting...reminds me of the kit similar to that for NSX's

jsplit 01-05-07 08:30 AM

I have a bunch of pictures of that car from MIR a few years back kicking around at home if anyone wants to see more...

Rich,

It's an K1 Attack.

oorx7 01-05-07 08:47 AM

The doner car is a Honda accord, if I am not mistaken.

someone tell me its not accord :pat: it may look cool and would look better as a coupe, but there would be no way I would consider it , if it was being built from an accord...

chinaman 01-05-07 09:10 AM

It would awsome to have a rotary in that! The 13B would be incredible but, imagine a 20B in a less than 2k lb car!!

NissanConvert 01-05-07 09:13 AM

it is the k1 attack, and the donor car is an accord but check this out:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1329941.shtml

There was a video but i can't find it now... maybe on youtube. If i'm not mistaken they used a volkswagen turbo diesel.

Found it: Video

It seems to cost arround 35-50 grand to build one of these thing.

Here is one of there forums. www.attackforums.com

You can buy a used one for 50 g's in the for sale section.

I could find a better way to spend 50 g's

dblboinger 01-05-07 09:47 AM

At 50 g's I'll stick with my FD. Think of what you could do to an FD with $50 large!

seven lust 01-05-07 10:46 AM

if you are into looking for a kit car ... this is a much better well thought out one . for your money...http://www.factoryfive.com/table/sho...06/sema06.html

TRISPEEDFD3S 01-05-07 10:47 AM

Everything you want it your wish list LOL!

rx7what 01-05-07 10:52 AM

My friend is also building a attack. The accord is only used for the engine and tranny and a few other peices. But the accord and prelude rune the same mounts so you can use the preludes H22 with 220 horse stock. My friend is building a turbo h22 with every bolt on you can think of for his K1, and he is planning on 350 horse with low boost.

I am planning on building the GTM next winter/spring. I just love the GM LSx motors.

seven lust 01-05-07 10:56 AM

the gtm is a far better way to go then this , but that is just my silly opinion...if I were in a market for one it would be the gtm

Me too.

Edit: Guess I should have read the entire thread before posting. :p:

Miff 01-05-07 11:20 AM

What transmission would/could you use for a mid engined 13B/20B?

wanklin 01-05-07 12:00 PM

Take off all the stickers and BS, and the K1 is a semi-exotic, modern looking car. The Accord donorship means nothing because you can retrofit in any powerplane that will fit. Finish, fitment, handling capability, and braking would need to be top notch for me to even consider a kit like this.

The GTM is nice, but I believe the designers just barely missed the mark, aesthetically speaking.

And that's where it becomes questionable to start with an Accord.

Although I agree to some extent that there are a couple things about the GTM that aren't perfect, it's a hell of a lot better than this...

dradon03 01-05-07 12:12 PM

The only reason the GTM exists is because they were looking at alternatives to the Ultima. I still think the Ultima is the Ultimate kit car..

I totally agree... starting with the accord chassis is very questionable... no matter what the body design is... as for the design of the GTM, I like it, BUT there are a few things I would change as well , and would deffinetly do so if it was being built by me(no surprise there)...every kit car is going to have its design flaws, as a matter fact every design, kit or not, will ... its all subject to someones opinion... look how many people change the look of the rx7.... some like it, some don't .... its just a matter of personal taste, but its a great platform... as for the k1, I will say it again ... I would not want to have an accord chassis to start with....If I was in the market for a (affordable)kit car it would be the GTM...

What's wrong with the Ultima GTR? Looks a little funny, but otherwise pretty impressive.

I've had a dream of fitting a 4-rotor into one of these things for a long time. ;)

There's no arguing with the performance, but the car itself looks like freeze dried ass from any other angle than the rear. :bigthumb:
