Instead of polishing them or chroming them?
Would it look just as nice? I want to do something to them.

Don't powdercoat them, the heat will cause it to soften, anything touching them will look like crap.

Painting would be cool though. Wael has his upper painted red with wrinkle finish. I really like it that way.

Looks like call for BATMAN, the powder coating master. PM BATMAN if that's what you want to do. He can hook you up with deal.

Polished is my preference

Thanks for the link. I don't like that blue though, but I get the point. I've seen a pic of a UIM painted red. Thought it looked pretty nice.

Yea, I can't remember whos car had the red UIM, but I remember seeing 2 or 3 forum members who had done it.

I still prefer the polishing, but that's just me.

it is aluminum to begin with for heat disapation properties, powdercoateing them will keep it hot, which will decrease power

Ah ok.
Polishing seems to be a PITA.
Maybe I'll save up and have TTT do it for me.

You can always get it coated without first polishing it.
Here is what it looks like:

It's got that textured look to it, which IMO looks pretty good itself. Power wise, I definetly felt a differance. I actualyl couldn't believe what a difference it made coating it. Jet-hot also coats the inside of parts, too, giving it a polishing effect inside the UIM.

My friend built a custom turbo kit, and his manifold guy told him "If you coat the DP, your turbo will spin up almost 500rpms faster" So yeah, I'm for the coating
