What to do -improved cooling
I've disassembled a lot of the front of the car to start doing something to improve the cooling.
Starting point: ASP large IC, koyo rad, pettit hot air intake, single stock oil cooler
I was getting crazy heat soak, and air temps by the PFC would easily get to 150 plus on an 80deg day. Forget using air conditioning. So I tried to get my IC and duct to line up better by dropping the rad as done in a bunch of threads. Didn't help the IC situation and water temps got higher too.
my oil cooler is in pretty sad shape:
not exactly mounted well either:
i'm considering trying to fab the dual radiator setup used by rallimike on the forum and pictured at
www.kdrotary.com/innovations.html
but how much would going to a dual oil cooler setup help? also, is crooked willow still around? their dual OC kit looked awesome. the rx7store one looks nice but to pay $850 and not get brackets...ouch.

never seen rads mounted like that on street cars. it looks awesome.
with the radiators there you could have an awesome front mount oil cooler. maybe one of the big *** FC oil coolers would do well... or something aftermarket.
stock dual oil cooler setups go for ~300 and up used, from what i've seen. they are certainly not perfect either and would need some reconditioning.
as far as reconditioning, there are places that you can send to cooler to that will straighten the fins and put a heat conductive coating on the cooler.
here is a thread about it:

ah, now i see what jeremyb was asking. and now he should see what i was saying. thanks.
there is one person running that setup with great success, though he has many other things done to aid cooling as well.
to have a look at the space i removed the headlights and found half the bolts missing, amazing they didn't go flying off. i'm also going to move the fan relays to better utilize that fenderwell which i opened up a while back.

Yup. if you have to know that "cradle" is specially designed to route only cold air!! LOL jk jk.
Its been secured to its original location and i extended fan wiring as to clear accross rather than over.

Whoa... never seen straight flat like that before. I was planning on have the monster v-mount set up myself... how's that flat set up holding up?
I also second dgeesaman on that very very expensive fuse box holder =)
