What do I need for 99 Spec bumper conversion?
I have the bumper and lights, from what I understand you can modify the rebar and underpan to fit is this correct? The next thing I think I would need is oil and brake cooler duct's is this all?
I have seen people just chop the ends of the stock rebar off to accomodate the 99 spec lights. I invested in the 99 spec rebar.
Not sure about modifying the undertray. Again, I bought a 99 spec undertray.
You will need the 99 spec brake ducts. As far as I know, there are no oil cooler ducts for the 99 spec bumper; although, some have used the ones sold by rhdjapan (I cannot link to their website from work).
Hope this helps.

I believe its oil/brake ducts. I got all my 99 spec stuff from corksport. You should ask Derrick@corksport to make sure you have everything.
As far as the lights, if they are OEM, it may be wise to get the knighsport adapter to retrofit them to the lower year harness.
Do you also have the correct lip as well? There was also an emblem update in the front and rear. If you are going to mount your license plate in the front, you need an adapter or you can make your own. I had one made for me.
If I were you I would buy the 99 spec undertray. Its not that expensive.

I do have the lip and the harness for the lights
I plan on buying the undertray hopefully from corksport. I Was not sure I might modify my rebar for now. So do we need a adaptor for our plates can someone confirm? I think R magic makes intakes for the oil coolers is this correct?

I found this, so pretty much we will have to drill holes in the tag(i am rather than the bumper, no bigge) and still dunno if the holes are threaded but worst case just gota put a nut behind it before you mount the bumper. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...c+front+bumper

Yea just waiting for it to come in the mail, ill figure somethin out. Thought about getting that custom plate and making my tag say rx7 but popo round here are kinda a pain about the whole front tag thing, espeically since i go to alot of the car meets and when they kick us out they just look for something to pull you over.
You can make the stock rebar work with the 99spec bumper by dremmeling/boring out the turn signal holes. I would not suggest cutting the sides completely off. However, with the 99spec rebar, everything just fits much better. Nice and tight.
The stock undertray will work. I don't remember off the top of my head, but I think it's 2 bolt holes that don't line up on the corners... I could be wrong as it's been a while(I use the 99spec undertray and it was around $100 new).
Oil Cooler/Brake Ducts: Around $60 each, but not really necessary if this is a street car. It does go with the bumper though and I do think it looks a little worse if you know what's suppose to be there. The average person won't notice though. The 99spec front did not come with dedicated oil cooler ducts as mentioned above... only these. I run only these on my single turbo track car with stock R1/R2 oil coolers and my oil temps in summer months on track never got above 210-215F. Normal driving in the summer was between 170-180F. Basically what I'm saying is that you will prob. be fine with just these... especially for a street car. R Magic also makes dedicated Oil Cooler ducts that fit perfectly with the bumper(I have purchased, but have not had the need to install).
Air Guide: Is a waste. Although it's a different p/n, it's the same thing as what our cars came with.

The plates that turb0x2 sells are a direct fit for the 99 spec plate. Plus, they are shorter and don't block airflow to your radiator.
Thats the one I purchased
So they line up thats awesome! Now lets hope I don't get hassled for running that instead of the DMV plate in front. I will have to buy the OEM duct's to do it right and the undertray! there is alot more to this swap then anticipated I guess it will be worth it in the end.

i just installed my 99spec bumper and i just cut the rebar... not hard at all.
also, if you want to save some money, i found 99specs signal lights on ebay WITH the adapter.. so you don't need to buy the lights + adapter. it works just fine... but you just have to look for it.

I used a dremel with a wheel worked perfect. I also bought the ebay lights with harness. I just wanted to place styrofoam under the bumper skin so it does not sag. I noticed the 99 spec rebar is fitted pushes through the license plate area.

mine was missing nothing to go off of. Hopefully Ray has one
