You should need sealant if it's a new gasket.

if the car has been sitting for awhile, it might be flooded??? It happens and stranger things have happened.

Did you clean your injectors, replace the FPD, change plug wires and plugs if old and tired, and port the motor? (j/k about the porting)

i started my simplification last week! so it was siting for not more than 2 weeks...

i installed new secondary injector... and cleaned the primary... change new plugs and wires 5 months ago...

i just need the proper procedure on starting the car after the hose job...? i read on another thread to reset the ECU and depress the gas full when starting... Anything else i should do beside those two?

That will tell the injectors not to fire.

Since you did some fuel work, you might want to prime the fuel sys.

jump F/P -> GND (in diagnostic box)
turn key to on for 10 secs
check for leaks real quick
take jumper wire out
and just crank it.

I was worried too (when I torn down the engine bay), but there isn't anything to be afraid of.

HAHAHA you think you can break an apex seal while starting the car?

I certainly hope not. You're too paranoid. Just do what you can and the enjoy the car and stop trying to find problems!

Mine cranked just about right up after sitting two and a half weeks with the fuel system depressurized.

Did you mean to say 'shouldn't'? You should not need sealant on the metal gaskets, especially if they are new. Actually, I would never use silicone sealant on these connections; the metal gasket should work fine, and the silicone just makes things messy.
