What are the chances or needing to change this?
I was with a friend of mine who is a mechanic, not specifically for rotaries but he knows somewhat about them... Having said this he told me that just by hearing my exhaust sound when I first turn on my car, sounded like I needed to replace my coolant pump. What do you reckon? I never had an over heating problem...
what was his reason behind saying that to you. Did he have some kind of explanation that makes sense? there are so many mechanics that think they know thier **** when in fact they are dumb and dont know jack ****?
oh by the way nice car!

thank you for the comment
well he told me this because his car was making the same or similar sound through the exhaust. you know how the rotaries have a rough start up until its a little warmed up? so he was saying that since *vrum vrum vrum vrum* sounded like the water pump was having trouble? guess its like that for piston engines

Maybe your idle was low or something and he thought the waterpump was giving too much resistance and not spinning freely?
