Exclamation What can I remove from my UIM?

I have my UIM off and I am thinking about cleaning up a lot of stuff before I re-install:

1. AWS (I have the PFC so it is taking up space right now)
2. Double Throttle (Might as well, I know not to boost w/o warming up first)
3. Throttle Body Coolant (Seems like it makes sense in the winter but I drive my car once ever week or so in the winter. I am in VA so it's not like I get snow every day.)

I should be able to remove these w/o any problem correct? I dont think I can remove the Idle Air Control Valve right? In removing the Double Throttle should I fill the hole with silicone sealant, tap and use a bolt, or both? With the TB coolant can I remove that completely or do I have to still wire the thing open? I am thinking of making my own block off plates out of sheet metal (how thick? 1/8" 1/4") or ordering from somewhere on the forum. I have been searching but I am only picking up little info.

Thanks and sorry for the list of questions,
Chris

PS where is a cheap place to get the block off plates from?

Chris you can getthe block off plates from for about $80. Unless you have a good scroll saw and some metal blades I would jsut buythem and save yourself the heaedache. The Double throttle needs only to be tapped and plugged with a bolt. The Throttle body coolant question I can't amswer yet because I haven't payed to much mind to that to be honest. But I would think that you will no longer need the line open at all. You should yank the Airpump already!

DUUUDEE what’s up? Air pump has been gone; I had to replace both turbo coolant hoses, left that bastard out.

I guess I will get the block off plates instead of making a shade tree attempt. I have been sitting in my room for the past hour or so pulling some crap off. I got the AWS off easy but blocking it off might be a pain, the studs are long as hell. For a block off plate to fit on there tight I would probably need a ton of washers.

I pulled off the double throttle actuator but need to get my hands on an impact screwdriver so I can get the butterflies out.

I got the throttle body coolant crap off. If there is no coolant going through there I doubt I would need a block off plate. The one thing was Rob Robinettes site said to wire that fast cam idle spring open so it wouldn't interfere. I just removed the spring and coolant piece with the "plunger." That spring was a pain to get off I had to loosen up the TPS enough to slide it off.... I hope I didn’t mess the TPS up at all. It might be easier to understand if looking at this pic:

Reza I will take a look at the k2rd plates, thanks.
