What can I expect to have to replace during rebuild?

With luck (knocking wood) I hope to finish tearing my engine down to the short block and sending it off to be rebuilt (thanks to those Forum members that have offered their services) within the next couple of months. To recap what I know and have seen so far, the front rotor lost it hard....I had chunks of broken seals laying in the exhaust port when I pulled off the turbochargers. I can see some damage to the rotor, I am assuming the front rotor housing is toast(?).
I guess my question is, what can I expect to have to replace during the rebuild? Or maybe more accurately, what will have to be replaced that is not normally replaced? Isn't it rather common to have to ****-can certain parts anyway?

Here is a pic of the engine:

yep that rotor and housing are toast...along with one of the twins, if not both.

depending on wear...you could use the good rotor and housing, if not. 2 new housings, 1 new rotor...then some balancing and maybe a lightweight flywheel (rear counter weight). $1000 housings, ~$150+ for the rotor, rebuilt twins $750 or so.

all seals and gaskets ~$750

quick list:
Fuel Pulsation Dampener
Fuel Lines under the UIM
Motor mounts if necessary (Gotham Racing has some nice urethane mounts)
Coolant hoses and clamps (use OEM)
Send fuel injectors out for cleaning
Check and/or replace oil injectors
Consider replacing plastic OMP lines with braided lines from RP or Gotham
Clutch fork

Thanks for the list, but for this thread I was really thinking of internal components.

You know all the seals and springs should be new. However, until the engine is torn apart, you can only guess at what else needs to be replaced. You'll have to inspect every part to see if they are within useable tolerances. Only then can know for sure what can or can't be reused.

Ideally, you'd use 2 new rotor housings; have the side housings lapped; most likely at least one rotor is unuseable; replace the rotor bearings.....

Same happened to me. Lost a apex seal and it scored the housing bad. Figured that the other side would be ok, it wasn't. Everything was out of tolerance on that side too. Ended up getting a refabed engine from RX7store.net.

You can certainly count on adding at least one rotor and housing to the cost of the build.
