If you like it, then great. Who are these knuckle heads telling you what to do with YOUR car. If you like it like that, then by all means have at it. It's just a hunk of metal anyways. The sleepy eye is just one of a bajillion looks an FD can have.

I've never, ever talked **** about my car. She's never left me stranded, only overheated once when the coolant got low, and she always does what I ask of her, which is a lot commuting 100+ miles every day. These cars are so amazing, that they're worth every penny. Even now the car's 12+ years old, I still get looks and compliments all the time, and am still waxing the asses of Mustangs, imports, etc. RX-7 fer life, yo! FTW!!!

If you want to enjoy your RX-7 more, buy a cheap daily driver (90's Toyota Corollas are nice) so you're not worried about breaking your rotary. You'll save money on fuel and insurance as well.

i like the sleepy eyes look, ive got a crazy idea of fabing up some brackets to mid 1990s cutlass headlights in so it has the sleepy eye look, but you can still see...
sleepy eyes
plus
making a mold to make it look right, and whatnot...
not that i will probobly ever do it, or even try, but its just something that i saw and thought about for a sec...

The FD's headlights look funny doing the sleepy eye "mod". The FC's and 240's look better due to their square shape.
As far as owning an FD at a young age, im 19, have had 2 FD's now, both modded. It just takes time and some skill to keep these cars going. Its only expensive to mod them. Im so sick of hearing people bitch about how unreliable their FD is when the only reason they say it is due to people abusing them. These cars need some care to stay on the road, not even a lot of care, just basic **** that you should be doing to every car anyways. But now that they are comming down in price young dumbasses are getting their hands on them and screwing up good cars. What it comes down to is if you cant afford, or cant work on the car for one reason or another, DONT BUY ONE.
For the OP, if I was in your position, I would sell your car. It sounds like your definitly not in a position to own one right now in your life, which is fine. Sell it before it breaks from neglect and you get no money for it.
