well i just wanted to have them for a while without doing the $120 mod im gonna be setting them back to normal in like a week. i just think the car looks hideous with them all the way up...

and i dont drive this car at night anyways.. to many crazy drivers out and to many cops.. and i also get some extra cooling as i live in vegas and i need all the cooling i can get.. as you all know rotaries run hot and vegas heat sucks hardcore..

 

IMO it looks dumb on almost any car but on the FD it looks HORRID.. if u really want to do it do it on a FC with the FTP lenses

 

The only good thing about that 'mod' is that it was free and it's easy to reverse

im 18 i cant afford all that ****.. id love to not have pop ups i hate pop ups.. i bascily cant affford anything cause of this thing they call a car.. im bascily on the verdge of selling it.. it just a money pit and i cant afford it. i LOVE the car i just am sick of the money it cost.. i wanted to do all that junk bodykit single turbo sleek headlights upgraded brakes etc, but some of us are just lucky to own a fd and like the things they can do without spending a cent.

 

IT DOES NOT COOL THE ENGINE!!! there is a plastic part of the light that covers the entrance for air anyways so no air actually gets in to cool the engine down. I have treid to do this and you cant see ANYTHING at night, and your engine does not actully cool down

 

well fucken sell the damn car if you can't afford it! i'm fucken sick of all these fucken teeny boppers picken up FDs now.

its not mine to sell and it was my dads before... i didnt buy it i woulda saved up more for a sti or something... i knew these cars were a bitch i just love how fast they are. if you must know its the car that got me into cars 10 years ago.. it got sentimental value to me it cost me money and stuff.. it just starting to run right finally so im a little less angry at it..

 

If it has sentimental value then how can you sell it? If you like having your lights like that, then it's your car. Most people just think it looks better up, including me. I love popups too, how can you not?

 

Hey dont hate on kids with Fd's Im 19 and I paid for mine and everything thats been done to it :P Yes its a money trap and Yes I cant afford but lmao I keep barely paying for it because thats how much I love it

 

seeing how my friends break all the time, and stuff.. and i was only gonna do the 99 spec bodykit nothing like veilside or some **** like that. all taht stuff is junk.. id get something like that or mazdaspeed or some widebody... but i dont have the money as i need to save up for college.. id like to sell it to go toward college but i cant part with it.. ive put a for sale sign on it seeing what offers id get they were all low 8500, 11, and almost got one for 14 but he was a bser.. and one thought it was a mustang.. i wish i could make my car like lupes.. his is gorgeous.. i love my 7 but its a love hate relationship.. i gotta talk **** about it sometime... but most of the time im raving about it.. i felt like bashing on it.. as all the problems ive had to fix with it.. Chris brown could vouch for me on the problems...

 

I don't particularly like pop up headlights, but the sleepy eye thing is just a fading fad.
Everytime my headlights pop up I think "damn those are good air brakes!" I prefer the car to be original though, plus they sound really cool. If I WAS going to do any body mods, it would probably be integrated headlights and side mirrors.

 

I'm 20 now, bought my fd when I was 18. I spent 10k for the car, then a year later, had to spend another 9k when the engine went kablewy. I pissed off almost my entire family, except for my dad because I was spending so much money on a car, and I wouldn't have it any other way. These are hands down my favorite car in the world. I'm never getting rid of it for anything!

 

So, you don't drive at night, you hate popup head lights, and you dicked around making the lights only pop up a little and still left in the stock lamps.

My question is, if you don't drive at night, what is the big deal and why would it matter if they were pop ups or not, if you don't need them?

Anything beyond 99 spec convertions is crap when it comes to body kits, but that's just my opinion.

 

...and that's exactly what i should have done, until i decided a house is a much better investment; and affordable in comparison to continuing to spend money on the FD. I'd advise any other "kid" with an FD that can't pay for it to do the same thing; because it'll pay off BIG later on. Just my .02
