Weird Question

Is it possible to have oil sucked through the oil injector nozzles into the intake??

I'm asking because I replace my turbos in Dec. and did the seq. simplification. While I was at it I left the vaccum tubes on the injector's off on accident(good thing I premix some also). I haven't really any oil in the intake system since then. I hooked them back up last week and drove the car last weekend, and guess what oil in the intake. This was the hardest I've drove the car since Dec. but it still wasn't very hard(and I have driven hard a some since then, just not that hard), and it was just interstate miles, no turns and its not from the filler neck before someone asks. I can see oil in the vaccum tubes to the inj. nozzles.

I'm in the process of making a makeshift catch can to run just for a day to see, just wanted some input from some other people.

Where in the intake are you seeing the oil? If it's between the turbos and the throttle body, I'd say the answer to your question is no.

Yes, they can. The injectors contain check valves that can go bad. When they go bad, they will let oil back down the vacuum lines.

I think i read you right... you have a thin layer of oil all alone the walls of your upper and lower intake manifold? probibly into the intercooler too?

You might find that the turbo you put on leaks a little oil. Ive had experiences were people would throw on cheap turbos that leaked oil (paticulary XS power turbos)

... If thats what your asking..?

Ahh, I said no thinking that the leak occurs when they are disconnected. I read that wrong. If they are connected and leaking, what Rynberg says makes sense.

If there is oil in the line at the turbo elbow, that would confirm the problem. (I don't dive under the UIM until I have probable cause )

Ok thanks, I talked to BNR and he seemed to think it is probably just the check valves at the nozzles, either way they are gonna get a look at the turbos next week due to either just a wastegate porting or stage3s, depending on how they look.

I do realize it could be the turbos, I know all about that, but the thing is they would be leaking some before I reconnected the vaccum lines. Actually most of the oil is around the inlet of the turbos, some by the secondary also.

Negative, I removed my PCV valve and I'm positive no oil is coming from the filler neck.

I found out it is the nozzles. I made a little catch can and it was full of oil after about 100mi.

Also since I removed the turbos to get the wastegate ported I decided to go ahead and remove the nozzles, and I could Blow air through both sides. I'm getting some good ones later this week, so I decided to go ahead and cut one open to see what the inside was like and found that the rubber flap/sealer has a small hole in it. I'm assuming the other one is the same way because I can blow through it both ways also.

Now my question is if the vaccum holds the rubber seal closed, why not just make the piece solid, so the only way the oil can go is into the engine?? I'm assuming it is for some kind of a pressure relief when the engine is off but why exactly.
