NL weird oil leak in FD

well guys,

i've got my rx-7 running again.
but now there's a problem, it leaks oil .
starting the car is no problem (hot or cold) but when i let the car idle for a while or drive at low rpm (3k max) it goes wrong.
the oil is coming out of near my BOV and eventually gets IN my BOV.

the oil pressure (watching the standard meter) is dancing when i'm driving but at idle it's good. the temp (with aftermarked meter) of the oil is good.. running up to 90C but when driving the car it drops back to 60C fast. is this normal? (driving with out front bumper, shouldn't make a big differance i think)

i think there is to much oil in the circulation. when i check the oil-meter is says Full (a bit to full) but i've already removed 2 litres and it still says the same.

i'll ask for sure, how much oil should there be in the engine?

maybe i've put to much oil in it or something?

check things like the pcv valve. (not sure what year yours is). is it stock twins?

that IS a weird problem. start at the turbos and work around.

the year is '93.. running stock twins @ 0.9 bar (13 psi)
it's a RHD.

could it be that there is to much oil in the system and tries to get rit of it?
again, how much oil should there be in it?

Thats not wierd its the turbos blowing oil.

I think what he means is the turbos are blowing oil into the intake track and you see it coming out the blow off valve - which is in the intake track. Could be blow oil seals in the turbos. You say they are stock, how many miles (km) on the turbos? Seals could be toast.

Also, if you aren't sure about the oil level, drain the oil and refill with fresh oil to the correct level.

Im having the same issue with my car... I am hoping to GOD it is my turbo oil seals and not the oil control o-ring in the engine.

While I am planning on rebuilding the engine in the near future, I wanted to enjoy the one I have in there for at least a few K miles.

Well a small amount of oil being in the intake track after the turbos isnt always bad. Now it its getting excessive then you have a problem. The most common culprit is bad turbos with shaft play letting lots of oil in the cartrige and then blown through you intake track. The second is presureivation of the oiling system. Most often this blows the oilpan gasket out but it will push oil out past the turbine shaft.
As for to much oil if its a little to full dont worry about it. It will be lower once the car is running.

Not to help hi jack this thread but if you had a bad oil O-ring you would know it. The amount of blue smoke that is shoot out of the exhaust is amazing. How can you not know this with 1,300 posts?
