Weight reduction? Where can you shave off a few pounds???
I want to reduce the weight of the car, but don't know where to start. I've already reduced weight by replacing parts(exhaust, convertor, spare tire, etc.) what else can be done? I don't care if it's only 50lbs....

Lets see here area that could shed some weight, airpump, flywheel, lightweight seats, ditch the creature comforts, A/C, heater, cruise control. That should keep you busy for a while.

Remove the spare tire cover and "rear" seat removeable backboard.
The other day I was going to try to to fix a rear speaker rattle, ended up pullling both rear speakers. That is about 7lbs. Now I need to find the front center speaker amp and pull that.
If you have a rear window wiper, pull that.
Remove the windshield washer unit.
Get the BMK.
How about the under carpet sound insulation. With Jim's solid diff bushings, should sound very mechanical!

Aftermarket hood and front end save a few lbs. Plus behind the stock front end there is a semi heavy support brace that I had to ditch when I changed front ends. It weighs maybe 15 lbs.

Try replacing your rotary engine with a briggs and stratton 5HP riding mower engine, stop buying the family bucket-o-chicken for just yourself, and lose your girlfriend...just kiddin, you can save about 20+ pounds with lightweight rims and tires (there are too many to list), and I know a fabrication shop that has formed hoods using titanium (aswell as doors)

there are carbon fiber doors for the FD.
carbon fiber panels help out a BMW more, because look at the meterials they use. CF panels for an FD wont help too much, since it already uses light-weight meterials in the body panels. so for an E36 BMW, CF panels might save a total of 220 lbs, but for an FD, it might only save around 70 lbs, which is not worth it for $5500, IMO....unless your name is AARotary.
just take the hood an FD for example. in Faspac's case, their carbon fiber hood weight one pound more than the stocker.
