Wedge collar and clutch release collar

Yeah my wdge collar and clutch release collar wont stay together anymore? How many times can you pull the tranny from the engine before you have to replace one or the other?

But it doesn't even have 1500 miles on it...ugh..if do get one, shoudl I get it from SPEC clutches since I'm running a spec stage 4? I believe my kit came with the collar. Is there nay other reason the relase and wedge collar might not be staying together or is just worn down form all the times I have taken off and put on the tranny? Or shoudl I just get the wedge collar from Mazda?

You can pull the clutch a thousand times - if you release the collar properly it will never need replaced.

If the teeth are bent just slightly on the wedge collar or the wire ring is bent out of round, it won't work. Put them together on the clutch pressure plate with the t/o bearing and see how the ring only locks in when it's rotated just right. Each of the long fingers grabs into a cutout in the ring. If you haven't put it together properly it won't work.

You've got to take the tranny down and re-engage the parts. I would order a new wedge collar too.
