Is it normal to have less than stellar power over 6k RPM's in first gear after a hard launch? I notice that if I shift to 2nd, I have immediate power and it stays all the way to redline. Same in 3rd. It is just first that has a huge power spike at like 4k RPM's then nothing over 6k. If this is normal, I will just always shift earlier in 1st to 2nd.

 

What kind of boost are you seeing at 6k in 1st?

 

No boost gauge yet. I will be getting one soon, but I wanted to know if this type of performance was typical in 1st gear.

Where was the vacuum leak? I just think it is odd that I have power in every other gear than 1st over 6k RPM's.
