Thumbs up We have all seen an FD before BUT it wasn't MINE!!

A lurker no more.
Ive been waiting to pick this thing up since Monday and finally I got it today .
Its a 94 R2(<I think) black with 81600 miles on it. Only mods are a dp, I believe a catback and adjustable shocks. Wow Im so excited about owning this car. Now my 8 has a big brother . Heres a few (poor) pics of the car, she isnt cleaned up so thats first on the list tomorrow provided no rain. Ill try to get a good family shot sometime soon.

nah those are all options on the R2, wing, chin spoiler, fogs, strut tower bar, stiffer suspension and better tires from the factory

I will try to get some better pics up as soon as I claybar and Rejex it. I was doing the 8 today getting it ready so I can take some "family" pics. I need to find a better camera too.

I think I paid a little too much for it but figured:

a)The guy took good care of it and has records.
b)Almost all the work was done by a speciality rotary place or by a mazda certified rotary tech. His words about the car were "if I was looking for an FD this would be the one I buy."
c)New paint about a year ago.
d)It was right in my home town and I would burned a few hundred to ship or drive the car back home.
e)It is just in great shape (IMO) and it's a 94

The car was $12,800, blue book had it at $13,000. From the little I know from reading this forum, a great deal (steal) would of been $10,500 and a good deal $11,800. I think it was a fair deal. Does this sound reasonable?

You only live once (so Im told ) and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I love this car.
