I've seen 100-101C on my PFC a few times after getting stuck in slow traffic on I95 around 4:00 at 90-100F ambient. anytime that its under 85F outside though, my car runs 85-90C consistantly. Its really weird, pretty sure its because of only having one beat up oil cooler and no radiator ducting right now... i'm working on it.

i get awefully paranoid around 100C though, which i suppose is pretty stupid of me to do.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but how about everyone's opinion on normal operating temp for Oil? Mine runs around 190-200F all time.

It will probably depend on what model FD you have (dual/single oil coolers) but.....

Thanks Sgtblue. I got single oil cooler and looks like it falls within reasonable range.

Instead asking about regular oil/water temp question, I think the question shoulbbe "What water/oil temp will be the danger zone that everyone should be aware" or pull over?

112 * C at Beaverun Flat out racing day.

At that point I took the car off the track and limped it home, there is an oil leak somewhere that I am trying to diagnose
