water temperature sensor

I have an electronic water temp gauge and I am going to cut the upper radiator hose in half and reconnect with temp sensor adaptor. My question is, is this the best location to get water temp readings?

I don't think so. Most guys, including myself, have it mounted to the thermostat housing.

you will get two opinions mostly, ts housing and tb coolant line. If you go with the tb line check this out:https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/din-panel-gauges-577232/
