water pump

I would like to put an electric water pump on my 7. Has anyone done this before? How did it work out?

I like the idea as I can run it on the cool down cycle with out running the engine. This should help solve my issue of short trips (about 15 miles) with the AC on and putting in a lot of heat in the engine. I hope to take the heat soak cycle out of the engine.

I have seen ones that can be installed in-line like in a hose. I think that would be a better idea.

It can be done, but those only last a finite amount of hours. Unless your car is a pure race machine, it's not worth the risk for on the street.
