Water leak at the LIM or turbo
Comming from church this morning I was racing a friend with a 300hp VW golf turbo (smoked his *** of course, God bless rotaries ) and right after a few seconds I smeled antifriz , I pulled ower and water was leaking from somwhere betwen the engine and firewal by the LIM and the turbo on tha area, I couldn't see where was comming from.
What water hoses are around there? Could it be I blew a turbo cooling line.
Any input very apreciated.

The turbo water lines are (1) rubber hose from the water pump houseing to the metal line bolted to the turbos . Another metal line returns water to the water pump houseing through another rubber hose. Each metal line has two banjo bolts with two copper washers per bolt ( thats 4 bango bolts and 8 copper washers ) all of these joints can leak. Also the water lines go in to the firewall to the heater core . Those two rubber hoses can leak .

It seems very hard to get to that area, maybe I should put it in a lift and work from underneath?
The TB water lines seem to be OK, at first that's what I thought it was, but the leak is coming from closer to the turbo area.
It will not leak much when the engine is not running, I fill it with water and start the car than it starts to spray as the engine builds more pressure.
If is one of the turbo coolant lines what do I have to remove to get to that area to work on it, and should I change both of the lines feed and return at the same time to prevent future leak?
Can I get such parts from any autoparts store or I may have to go the hard way?
Thanks...

The water lines would be even harder to get to from the bottom IMO. If you have an airpump...take that out and they are much easier to see (the water lines of course). I'm not looking at mine right now, but I think you may need to remove some intake hoses/pipes and it will be much clearer. The rubber hoses connect to the filler neck "housing". Hope that helps a little

Problem solved thanks to you people, it actualy was the freaking TB cooling line.
Rxrotary2 7 you where right , I never thought the freaking TB cooling line goes that far deep down in the engine, that **** gave me hard time to get it out, I had to take out the UIM and some vacum hoses.
Thank you all for great advices, ya the best,,,,,
