I just gotta say that sucks but at least you wont make the mistake of keeping you intercooler pipe off in the rain. Sorry man

It shouldn't be dead. Does it crank? Have you checked the spark plugs?

did you try to deflood the engine? push out the water that might be sitting in there. Was it a lot of water or a little water do you think?

Do NOT take it to an Engineer!!!! Unless they are a rotary specialist (Mazda dealerships DON'T count!) they will just mess your car up more.

Check your plugs, make sure they aren't wet. If the engine is hot a little water won't hurt (hell, we spray it in there on purpose to increase engine life hehe).

I'll mimick what has already been said, and try deflooding your engine.

Water in the combustion chamber *will* cause your engine to die out if it is cold and/or the RPMs aren't high enough. (I had a problem with my engine cutting out when cold shortly after I installed my water injection. Installing a one-way check valve fixed that problem though).

Pull out all 4 spark plugs, remove EGI fuse, crank car for 5-10 seconds. Clean spark plugs, put everything back, start car and go give it some boost for fun. Done.

Water isn't harmful to our engines at all. In fact we inject water into them when we're trying to boost for safety because it cools the combustion chamber.

edit: its harmful if you leave water in there rusting for months though

the engine had run for 5-8 minutes till that happened , but the engines rpm were low around 2.000..... the engineer is a rotary specialist....i ll take it there and hope for the best....
