water/alcohol injection

Who's done it, how do you like it, what kit did you use, how much did you gain?

Thanks
Chuck

Aquamist 2s kit with 3d mapping. I have a 3 gallon fuel cell in the back for the water.

I'm using an aquamist 1s @10PSI.
I don't worry as much about heat soak.
I will probably get the 2s controller shortly.

What's your reasoning for going with the more expensive aquamist system compared to something cheaper like this http://www.racetep.com/wik.html ? Just trying to find out the differences between systems...

Thanks

And what about a basic system that runs off boost preasure? I'm just wanting something to help the stock intercooler out until we can afford a nice aftermarket smic. So the 500-750 is out of the price range we're looking at.

Thanks
Chuck

Check this web site. You be the judge.

Well yeah... I've been to their site before and am familiar with their products... I just don't want to spend that much on a system. I've seen lots of water injection setups the Turbo Buick guys use that run lots cheaper. Albiet the Aquamist is probably one of the best... I'm just not interested in spending that kind of money. I'm thinking more in the 200-300 range... We don't need "the best" on this car. Just an economical kit to do a basic job of helping cool the intake air until we can afford a nice SMIC.

Thanks
Chuck

Ive had the basic system installed for sometime now. I have the 7mm head coming on at 10psi. I really dont know if that is too much. After my dyno runs w/ it and all the standard hookups(dp,high flow cat,ic, bigger injectors, pfc, etc), I came back w/ a dissappointing 276 hp @ 15psi. Something was asmiss. I am waiting to get my car back from paintshop, then am throwing my MP on. Am going to redo my maps, by following a few I have from the forum(thanks all) and we will see.
Someone mentioned, when I showed my dyno graphs, I might have too much water injected. Actually I have a water/alcohol mix in right now. I am also going to switch the smallest injector(5 or 6mm) when I get the car.

So, my post does not really help, I am just stating my setup. But I have it.

Any alcohol injection gurus care to chime in on an ideal injection.

Also, one can change the injection point, like from 10 psi to 8 or higher to 12, whatever. Just turn a screw(and have some kind of device to measure new injector flow).

"Ive had the basic system installed for sometime now"

Who's basic system? Sounds like you're reffering to a boost controlled system correct?

Thanks

The aquamist system, 1a or something or other, the least expensive system. Ya, its the boost control system.
