wastegate porting quandry

wastegate porting quandry
Well I took the twins off my motor today. I disassembled them, and looked at the main wastegate (non sequential). It has a nice crack, and it appears the wastegate is opened to 1.25". Around 30-33mm. The flapper door barely covers it. It's too dirty to see if someone already ported it, but I don't think there is any more room with the flapper door to port, or it wont seal. So I think it's safe to assume it was already ported. The issue I have is that I still have boost creep on colder nights, as in when it drops below 70F. It's a less pronounced creep, reaching only about 3psi of creep by the time I hit redline. This would be an issue if I tuned for around 1 bar though, instead of the 10psi I'm running now. I will upload a pic of my wastegate to show you guys how it looks. Is there anything else I can do to decrease creep if it is already ported?

I don't see a midpipe listed in your mods. If you're on a stock cat, it's almost impossible to get boost creep unless it's been gutted or your wastegate actuator is leaky.
If you run 1bar boost, and that really is boost creep you're dealing with, it will get better running the high boost.

I really hope you have some kind of ECU upgrade with those mods. From the pics of the turbo though and the whiteish gray color of the wheel and wastegate door, it looks like your running extremely lean.
I have my turbos non-sequential and ported the wastegate and i dont see any creep. DP, MP, and greddy Ti on the exhaust side, intake and v-mount on the intake side. I have my boost set at 12 psi. Holds solid to redline.

POWERFC with wideband. I'm running 11.5 AFR and it tapers down to 10.5 at high RPM's. It's NOT lean.

Hmmmm cant figure out why you have that much creep then? Like I said, never had any trouble with creep on my setup. Your definately ported as big as you can go, thats about how large I did mine, just to the edge or where the flapper sits.

I ported and polished my wastegate, removed the oem flapper, and welded on a new larger flapper. If you also round all the sharp edges in your turbo manifold housing, it will help reduce or eliminate cracking. I believe my final diameter was 1.35" for the flapper. Seems to have eliminated my boost creep.
