Wastegate dump tube issue

For years I've had a 1.75" dump tube that was previously a recirc that I lopped off the down pipe. Pretty janky. Recently purchased a private label manufacturing 44mm 45 deg dump tube for my tial mvr gate. Only problem is the flange is nearly a millimeter thinner on the plm tube, and it just spins and slops around when the clamp is tightened.

What am I missing here? This tube is sold for a 44mm mvr gate, and from what i see, vband clamps and flanges dont vary in depth, and can't be purchased in different options. I reached out to private label manufacturing and they said they'd call me back. See attachments, any help is appreciated, thanks.

The inset lip on the plm pipe implies it's to be used with a fire ring. Same part thats inserted in the bottom of the wastegate
