Wastegate Install Questions

Hey, I haven't really been around my car in a few months so bare with me if I sound like a complete newb.(the car is at my hosue I am at school) But i bought the car and it had the tial 46 wastegate plummed back into the downpipe. That is cool, however I would prefer to have that noised vented into the atmosphere just because I always wanted to have that sound.

Is it hard to make an allready dumped WG become open atmospher? I have a gt35r with a bonez ss mid pipe .... ANy suggestions, on difficulty about how this will work out?

Thank You

its easy, cut off the current return, weld the whole closed. Buy some small di pipe and aim it at the ground

btw, its going to be VERY loud.

nice pics higgi THank You.. now that elbow that is connected to the wastegate, is that the pipe which right now is connected into my downpipe? So All I would have to do is saw it off then weld up the hole where that 90degree pipe was...

If u have wg routed into downpipe, there must be some (smaller) pipe merging downpipe at some point

cut it as close to downpipe as posible and weld that hole in downpipe shut (to prevent exhaust leak from downpipe)

now u will have something like you see in my pictures, just make sure opening from wastegate pipe does not point directly to downpipe, but to the ground (as its might be fiery )
