with those kinds of mods you will have to go with some sort of aftermarket ecu. the power fc is a great choice!!! dont dismiss it. you could easily find a car with those boltons for probably a little bit more than 16.5k. . . but for what you are wanting to do, i would find one with a blown engine and build it up yourself. that would be the best bet for your taste. you wouldnt have to deal with somebody elses shoddy work before you started with your own stuff. thats what happenned to me. i bought one and i had to go and correct a lot of stuff before i started on what it wanted to do. . . . and for god's sake run a carfax on the car. . . there are a lot of people out there who will screw you over because they know the car is hot. i ran one AFTER i bought mine and found a salvaged title. now, everytime i look at my car i all i see is bondo. it still looks good, haha. . . . i just dont know how LONG itll look good. haha.

paul

but i do know of a red 93 out here in tennessee for sale with a new reman in it. that would be a great set up. its all stock. look for RXTRA7. its his and he has pictures of it. just ask him or look at his profile and then find his homepage. have fun.

I agree. Get one with a blown motor. Blown could mean the apex seals are bad or the o-rings are failing. I don't think it is a physical crack in the motor although your rotor housings and rotors could be warped due to overheating.
Yes a rebuild and mild streetport of the rotor housings can easily cost you 4,000 I wouldn't even look at 3k-3.5k its more like 4 and maybe more.

Be more specific with the hp numbers do you mean 300-400 at the flywheel or to the wheels?
300-400hp to the flywheel is even a lot
I think with my setup with dp, catback, intake, (pettit ecu) and mild streetport I dont even have 300 to the wheels because I'm going to run 10psi for now, when I run 12 psi I should have just over 300 to the wheels.
and 16,500 is a lot to spend
you can do a lot with that much money.
I would get one with a bad motor and put a streetported rebuild in it and get a pfc, fuel pump, injectors, intake, dp, catback, midpipe, ast, radiator, intercooler and run higher boost and reliability gauges also.
if you get a good deal on the car such as 8k you can do all of those mods and turn the boost to 14psi and have tons of hp with the 16,500 you wanted to spend.]
remember that when you try to get a lot of hp you are pressuring everything on the car and more hp equals more money in other stuff like clutch, suspension and other upgrades or repairs.

sorry for the blobs of info that don't fit together it would be easier to talk to someone about this than type out a reply.
