Angry waiting for a new motor from the dealer...

So my apex seal went about a month ago and now am waiting for a reman motor. This past thursday they called me and advise that the "coolant bottle" , the ast, had gone bad on a test drive of the new motor. They said that the part was rushed order and that my vehicle will be ready early this week. Well, I called yesterday and they told me that the part has been installed and Now they are waiting on the "starter solenoid", which happen to be on back order. What the hell is a Starter solenoid???And how the hell did they fried it???!!
If you guys know what this is, please give some insight on this. Thanks.

Most business's wont sell just the soleniod, you would have to buy the whole starter as which comes with the soleniod.

You should have at least got them to put on the Pettit aluminum AST. Now it's just a matter of time before the stock AST cracks again

heck, I'll just take it back and get them to cover it under warranty. Maybe they will get sick of me and give me my money back, hehehehe.

streetking; are you sure that the starter solenoid is one unit with the starter? If so, this may be good info to use against the dealer. Because the rep. that she order just the solenoid and its on back order.

thanks

Well if you go to a parts store they wont just sell you the soleniod, but I think the dealer will have a way of getting it. Its weird.
