Unhappy VR FD 27k miles... got turned down

Well I was cruising auto trader and came across a '93 VR with black leather interior, 5 speed, racing beat type I wing and moon roof. The car looks great from the picture posted on the dealership website. Since I can't get it I figure somebody on here will want it. They want 18k for the car.

They turned down your offer, or you didn't get approved for a loan? If it's the latter there are other financing options available.

Even if they know what it is, I doubt that they would take care of it better than other cars. I've seen salesmen driving around in FDs burning clutch and tires, then shutting th engine off right after they park to get lunch.

ok, here's whats up. banks mostly us NADA guide, and go fair value, placing a 93 at 12K. max. credit unions sometimes have higher amounts. I vote a personal, or signatuer loan, if you can. Rates should be better, find out what you quialify for credit wise.

From the pic, thats a sunroof not a moonroof. Moonroofs are somewhat rare on '93's since they were a '94 feature.

They turned down my loan, I tried financing through their bank. I'm gonna call my bank on monday to see if I can get one from them. I was approved for a '94 MBM for around that price back in november so I'm hoping they'll approve me for this, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

A credit union is probably your best bet. My credit union said "no problem" to a 93 for 16grand or something like that if I recall correctly. They said they'd even finance it for 5.5 years.

Look at the house in the background! Looks like the car lot is a mom and pop type of place to me. That explains why they think its a 6 cyl.

Is it the picture, or is the car really starting to turn pink from oxidation?

which credit union was that?

oh, on a side note, I was browsing and found another "used car pricing guide" called the web carbook..apparently some credit unions ACTUALLY use this guide...93 touring under 100K miles, with all options (obviously) was worth 9.2K...9.5 if its an auto tranny...LOL, if you lie and tell them you're buying an auto, they'll loan you more
