Vote for my FD for the 2011 Grass Roots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge

The annual Ultimate Track Car Challenge is returning to VIR this year.

Please vote for my FD on car domain under the 2011 GRM UTCC rating at the top of the page: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3921296/1 ... 7-coupe-2d

My build thread from here on the forum is linked on car domain

I hope to be able to run a low 2 and represent the FD community well Since last year, I've added Pettit Flares, Ronin Wide front fenders, widened my CCW so I can run 315F/335R, improved the brakes, and am currently getting a set of Penske 8665 Penske's built. Thanks for the help guys and look forward to seeing some of you at the track.

Brent

Here it is with the Pettit Flares and the Ronin front fenders when I picked it up from the body shop. The wheels and tires in the picture are the old size. I'll be running 17/18x11F and 17/18x12R with 315F and 335R tires that will sit flush with the fenders/flares. I'll try to get some new pictures this weekend.

Could you get some angle shots of the front fenders? Thanks in advance.

For the GRM ultimate track car challenge is there a limit to what you can spend on the car?

Thanks for the kind words as always Howard! Yes, manual brakes with a balance bar. Still working on getting them up to par. Manual brakes seem to be a lost art.

Fritz is going as well, so make sure you guys vote for him. He has a thread going as well. Here is his page:

Here are a few new pictures:

Me, Pete(Ptrhahn), and old Floppy hat(Fritz) and his new toy after a fun weekend at VIR:

Voted. Good luck, this is an awesome event and RX-7s have been woefully underrepresented in all the past events.

Awesome! Congrats on the TTS wins and good luck at UTCC!!! I don't think I'll be able to make it down to cheer you guys on since I'll be down at VIR the following weekend for the Chumpcar 24 hour race. Speaking of which, any plans to do any more LeMons/Chump events in the future?

Thanks! and no, no plans to do any LeMons/Chump Car events. The team I ran with before just won the Chump Car race a couple weekends ago though.

They are, as well as the last 3 I just posted. I'm at Road Atlanta 3-4 weekends between now and August 7.

Thanks man! No hurry, I know you're busy. Can't wait to see this 3 rotor of yours once you get it finished! I'm currently working ridiculous hours as well(like 15 hour days) but things should eventually slow down in a few weeks. I think I've figured out what was wrong with my manual set up. Dan pulled my pedal assembly out the other night and found out that it had been set up completely wrong and was functioning incorrectly causing rear lock up very quickly. The master cylinders have been correctly sized(after all my calculations... talk about ALOT of work/reading). I *think* I may finally see the benefits of the manual brakes. Would still like to pick your brain and compare notes on the subject though.
