That's awesome Jonathan. Steve says he has about one day left in your car before he cranks it over. He installed my Honda S2000 starter button for me yesterday - think that will help me?

Bigger issue is the car doesn't boost over 9 PSI. Steve's going to track that down when I get back later in the week. Found two cracked hoses but this didn't fix the issue.

Damn you guys and damn Afghanistan. Would have been a nice place to test out the new turbos. Alas, a war to be fought.

I hear you man, I'm sitting in country right now finishing up another deployment only to be back again at the end of the year. Not an easy job, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Glad to get the track time I get, even more appreciative of getting to hang with my friends in the paddock.

Registration is filling up in record time so for those interested don't sit back and wait I suspect it will be full in the intermediate and beginner groups pretty quick.

I would love to get in on this deal. However, I don't think I'll have the car ready yet.

I still need tires that will handle the track, install oil pan baffle, alignment, and possibly accusump. I'm still trying to decide if it's 100% necessary for street tires with the oil pan baffle. I'm referring to an LS1, btw.

If it's your first time on the track, you will be fine. As long as you have tires that have tread and are in good condition(ie not dry rotting), you won't have any issues. From my experience, It's when you start really pulling some G's that it becomes an issue.

I'm close to advancing to run group 3 with NASA. The accusump is the only thing on the list I'm questioning.

In the past I've run:
-Summit Main (s2000 stock 1x and 420whp 2x)
-Summit Shenandoah - STi
-Summit Jefferson (s2000)
-VIR Grand - STi

If it was happening later in the season I would be in 100%. I'm still working on prepping this rx7 though.

Gotcha. Yeah, I'd throw the IR baffle, the accusump, and run a quart over for protection.

The Sleep Inn in Danville. It's the closest to the track(15 minutes). If you call and ask for the VIR rate, it's like $79 a night. There is also a Best Western(I think that's what it is) across the street. Fritz or Pete can confirm.

I always have good luck with the Best Western. They have a VIR rate if you ask.

Damn I would love to do this but I don't know if I will still be in the area by then...

Is there an official close of registration date or is it just a limited number of spots?
