if you don't mind me asking, what tire size/wheel width are you running out back to fill up those pettit fender flares? they look great, just wondering what sizes you have, thanks

The Pettit flares look really good. You're running the same body setup as the Pettit race car with that GTC front end. There's style in that.

thanks for the compliments guys. I have got to be one of the happiest RX-7 owners in the world

stokedxiv, the car now sits on 335/35/17 Kuhmo Ecsta V700's on 17"x12" Complete Custom Wheel and 17"x10" w/ 275/45's up front.

I just changed to the 335's a couple months ago. They work, but just barely. They rub a little bit on the inside wheel well. It's not really noticeable except under really hard cornering or at an AutoX. At the last AutoX, I had smoke boiling up during each run. Example.

I hammered some on the inside wheel wells and I think its a lot better now, just still need to test it on an AutoX track to be sure. Previously, I ran the 315/35 Kuhmo Victoracers and they fit/worked just fine

My car has always been know locally for it's wild flames, I think it's cool myself

video: night time shooting flames (when my car was still black)

apneablue, I'm not sure who was standing in front of the car, I guess they felt safe, I was to the side

Street King WOW! Good deal and all with the main cat in place.
I don't have no stinkin' cat. I live in Arkansas, the state of NO emissions testing:lol

Hey we are having an OK BBQ/ Get together this saturday (May 31st) in Tulsa and we have about 16 cars signed up to come (mostly FDs)...folks from OKC and Tulsa butno one out of state as yet...if you are close enough and want to come by drop me an e-mail at David@ApneaBlue.com and I can fill you in on the details...

We are raffling off RP T-shirts and hats (also will have event t-shirts), a code checker, BBQ, photo shoot with a local photographer, volleyball, a Zaino wax demo, and an RX-3 "should" be there. Just good people and good conversation, and a good time.

Edit: Do you still have the stock injectors?

hey man thanks for all the info. if it's not too much to ask, could you post up some bigger, high-res pictures of your FD? i would really like to see it standing still, and in a much bigger picture than what i can see in your sig. if you can't post them in the forum due to the size, send them to me at cbaynes@udel.edu and i can probably host them

thanks again
Charlie

xstacy7, my car actually looks a lot like that one. That is the Pettit road race car. I have the same exact (made from the same mold) flares and front end as that car.

stokedxiv, I have a bunch of pics uploaded to my domain click
here to see more than you probably want too

apneablue, sounds like fun, but I have to work Friday night in Memphis from 4pm til' possibly 5am, so I'll probably be sleeping while you guys have your BBQ. Have fun, I hope it turns out good. And thanks for the invite, maybe if I knew about it more in advance

And yes, I do still run stock injectors. The dyno graph showed a solid 11.6 a/f ratio which is very safe. I never run it above 13lbs. on pump gas and never above 1 bar on race gas. I know that I need to upgrade, but I just haven't got around to it
