Unhappy very very strange problem, please help!

ok, this is one of the wierdest and most frustrating things that has happened to me with this car. i was driving home from work the other day, and i go to shut off the car like normal, but the car will not shut off, its acting as if the key is still in the ignition, but i have taken it out. everything is still on. So i disconnect the battery, both terminals, everything is still running. So i turn to the last resort, i pull up the brake and stall it. So i then start to rip out the inside of the car, checking for loose wires, anything that might keep a circuit going or somthing like that, i come to the judgment that i need a new ignition, so i disconnect the ignition, and reconnect the battery, but the milege and indicator lights come on, so its not the ignition. i disconnected my turbo timer, and still have the same problems, everything is getting power with the key not in the ignition, like its in the ON position, but its not. im all out of ideas, can anyone help! thanks

i checked the ignition switch by disconnecting it, and the same problems still occurred, could this be a relay problem?
