I just got done doing the vacuum hose job and the is a loud gridding/ squeeking sound coming out of the engine i can't really pin point were car i'm kinda scared to let it go one for to long. and also they just some smoke that doesn't smell like oil or anti freeze. And ideas?

Sounds like you may have dropped a clip down the lower intake manifold. Worst case.

Best case, a bearing is going dry on the adjuster guide pulley.

 

What is the adjuster guide pulley??

 

It's the idle pulley ... between the alternator and PS pump.

 

Yes, mine is making a loud squeaking/metalic grind noise from that pulley. Does the bearing have to be replaced or what? I've lubricated it 3 times in one day only to have the noise keep coming back. The noise is coming from the top pulley on that side.

 

Do you hear the noise when the hood is up?

 

yup..its not the hood latch
