Venting stock BOVs

I was reading about not to buy after market BOVs just vent the stock ones........well I looked under the hood of my 1994 rx-7 and I compared the picture Walien posted and I can't figure out how he did it. Could someone please post a step by step guide on how to make the stock BOV vented so it sounds like a aftermarket BOV.

Walien did you add the big hole (the one that dosn't have anything plugged into it) and where does it go?

2. Plug the hole in the airbox

1. take of the CRV which is above the BOV
2. pull off the bov from the airbox (cap off the hole with a bottlecap if you want, dont have to, but why not.
3. plug the CRV back in

step2:

if you dont cap it, dirt will get into your turbo's and your engine through the intake hole. so YES, do put a cap on it. and a 20oz bottle cap fits perfectly, just put a clamp on it so it will stay.

Yes, this should really be the easiest "mod" you can do to your FD, and yes, DO cap it off. BTW, some guy posted about venting the CRV -- what would be the point in that?!

FYI, it's not "smog" legal in CA to do that.

Technically u can get a pretty hefty fine for that.

Yeah, I don't wanna see anyone fouling our clean, uncompressed air.

No probs at all? Reason why I am asking is because of dilemma one wether to vent or get an aftermarket on to stay safe. How long did you have it that way?

Thanks
