Ok her is what I did. Ok first the lil hose on my charge relief valve brook so I wasn't getting that much boost on my secondary. Then before fixing that, I replaced my stock intake with the apexi intake. Now the whole time I was doing this the car ran fine, but I was leaking boost so I then got the silicon kit and changed the little hose on the charge relief valve and the blow-off-valve and like 2 other ones that were easy to get to. Then as soon as I started the car, it is running like ****. the air pump keeps cycling on and off and you smell fuel, it idles really low some times it dies. Sounds like it is being suffocated? The car only has 50k on it. Its a 94. Mods are Power FC, hks exhaust, HKS BOV, and the intakes. That's it. If you have any idea of what the problem might be please let me know........

 

What were the other 2 hoses you changed?

 

Have you checked them against the color vacuum hose diagram?

is there a lot of smoke coming from your exhaust? if so check your map/boost sensor vacuum line.

 

You should check to see if the MAP sensor hose popped off. It is on the driver side, little black box by the firewall, with a hose that runs from it to the middle of the throttle body. I know that you weren't over on that side messing with things - but I had the same symptoms and found that the vac. hose had popped off. Couldn't hurt to look. Little thing that could cause major performance probs.

 

im ditto with speeddemon7 and dgblk93. I knocked the hose off once and I almost shitted my pants figuring out what happenned. But I still wanna know what were the two other hoses you changed.

Ye i know about the map sensor, its all good ive had it pop off before. But ye i cheacked every line with the diagram and its all good. Yes white smoke is comeing out. Man i cant figure this one out at all.

 

Now that I understand how the twins on my 92 work. What if you fitted the pipes from the charge relief actuator to the opposite soleniods.

I think the charge relief gate needs to be shut unless your on the 2nd turbo & if its held open due to it being plumbed into the wrong soleniod, this allows a vacum leak as the bypass vavle is open to atmosphere until the 2nd turbo signal is produced.

Just my guess, & it is a guess as I cant see your car from here in socal.

 

you know what I think you might be on to something. Iam just gonna rip it appart and look it over one more time very carfully.. Can one of you guys do me a favor and look at your charge relief valve and see if its just one hose that connects it to the intake manifold or if their is something in the middle of the line live a one-way valve kinda thing.. you know what i mean.... thanks everybody

 

hmmm I think that i might have the charge relief valve and the actuator switched... I will let you guys know tomorrow.....

ok I looked at everything very carefully and its all hooked up correctly but now the car doesnt even start... It sounds like its fluded and i can smell gas...

 

take out the lower plugs and crank it a few times. then put the plugs back in and start it up. see what happens

yes actualy I have. Think it might be floded?

 

i dont know how it can be flooded from the possibility of mis-crossing two vacuum lines. But if the motor isnt even cranking... then thats not flooding, thats your battery. If it starts but then bogs and dies out right away THEN you have flooding. You know.... my question still hasn't been answered lol. What were the other two lines that you changed? Have you solved this problem? If so, then you can still answer the question, I'm still curious lol.

ok I took out the 2 bottom spark plugs and cranked it over a few times. There was gas one the spark plugs, so the car is flooded. Oh the two hoses I changed. Well one was for the windshield washer and the other one was a little jose by the intake manifold but it was a short hose. But i know its not the problem... Anyways I put the spark plugs back in and tried to start it and still wont start. And now the battery is dead. So i guess iam gonna take it to rick in pleasington...
