what could be the problem?

I did a search but i couldn't come up with anything that sounded just like my problem. Yesterday i drove my car for the first time in 5 days because i was gone for the holidays and it started fine and drove fine. When i stopped to get some food and started it back up again, the car started like normal and the rpm's jumped up to about 2500 and slowly started to come down to normal like always. However, the RPMs kept falling until it reached around 200 rpms(nearly stalling, with the lights flashing and fading) and then the roms jumped back up to 2500-ish and repeated. What should i check for first? vaccum leak? map sensor? clogged cat???

First thing to check is that the Map sensor hose has not come loose.
It is mounted near the top of the firewall on the drivers side of the car.
Hose plugs into UIM but most often comes loose from the Map Sensor

I would check your ground wire connections: fire wall, driver's side fender wall, driver's side of engine block just above oil pan lip. Make sure all are free of corrosion and scuffed shiny with wire brush or sand paper. Also make sure they are fastened snug.
