Question vacuum at idle

Poll for what vaccum at idle on stock port motor people are getting.

on every motor in my black FD, ive only had about 15inHg of vacuum at 750 rpm.

I get 19-21 on a 21,XXX miles motor. was getting 14-15 on my old FD which had compression of 75 PSI all around.

19" @ 750 rpm

Keep in mind that elevation will change this number a lot. I'm right at sea level at home. When I visit my wife's parents in the mountains (about 4500 ft), I lose about 5" of vacuum and a ton of horsepower, too!

I'm curious, have you noticed a power difference from the two? (i.e. same boost, but more power)

Well is hard to tell since my old FD had ECU, DP, CB, Intake and Intercooler upgrade. It did feel faster than the one I got now even with the low compression.

I get 18" at 700-800 rpm. I have 120,000 on the original engine, and original turbos. Anyone know the vauum numbers for a new/reman engine??

If your milage is true and that is stock engine, that is damn good vacuum you are getting.

I get around 12-15. The motors got about 60,000 miles on it. But, my friend who had a TII pulled ~11" on a brand new motor, ran strong with no problems.

I'm pulling 16-17 at 850 from a Reman w/24K. But I have a Blitz intake, DP, MP w/ HI-Flow Cat, 3" Dual Tip MagnaFlow, 99 JSpec Y-Pipe. And it's an Auto.
