vac LEAK?!

So i have been noticing that my idle does this thing where its at 800 then dips to like 750 then back up. It does this kinda random its like a quick blip, so i was wondering if maybe it was a vac leak? So i go and pull one of the vac lines off the mani (the one the boost gauge is hooked to) and the idle goes to 850 and doesnt blip or anything, it just stays at about 850 perfect. I put it back in and then it goes to about 800 to 750 again. what does that mean? do i have a leak?

is it a autometer gauge? if it is the its probably leaking from the fitting behind the gauge, i removed the plastic/nylon hose from mine and installed a barb fitting and used a silicone vacuum hose to supply the gauge, haven't had any problems with it since.

ya it is an autometer but would that cause the little blip in the idle?
