but then if the fans are in back of the radiator, like stock, it would just be pushing hot air into the IC. And then that just defeats the purpose doesnt it?

DeNguyen,
I think you may have the orientation of the setup confused. The rad and IC are setup in a V shape, with the opening of the V towards the front of the car, like this (front) > (rear). If the rad is on the bottom, and the fans are on the back, it would be sucking air through the opening > and pushing it downwards, almost towards the underside of the car, not into the IC.

Dan, did you have Chuck polish your IC, or did you have someone else do it after you got the kit?
i'm interested in seeing the shields chuck made when you get them too.
nice clean engine bay

The Intake is the HKS RS intake or HKS J-spec intake depending on who you ask. ArchangelX, I have no clue what the temps were before I put the V-mount in. I put the PFC in at the same time. But I do know that on the stock setup If i touched the after intercooler pipe it would be almost too hot to touch, and on the V-mount kit when you touch the one before the intercooler it is pretty hot. The pipe after the intercooler feels very cold. So you know it's doing something right
JimmyJimbojet, I don't think im at liberty to show the shields at this point in time. Seeing as they were deemed classified by an unknown source

tomaszjc7, thank you very much. Im glad everyone likes it.
As for taking the AC condensor out...I don't think that would really affect temps that much. Maybe 1-2 degrees. If that.
GoRacer- I had Gotham racing polish my alternator, I believe it is 135 and they rebuild it and paint it whatever color you want. Well I've only seen blue and red, so I don't know about any color. Not a bad deal at all.

That entire instally was the most fun I've had in a long time. The best part is when you change everything that's black to polished aluminum. The car went from close to stock to fairly advanced under the hood in a few nights. If we could install this kit again, we'd probably be able to do it in one day as long as the welding could be done on time. If anyone plans to get this kit, think twice about having it installed by a shop. You'll get a greater satisfaction doing it yourself. Digging all the stock parts out of the engine bay also helps you check a lot of things and learn where things are down in the car. Taking the bumper off was pretty necessary and I'd suggest straightening the fins on your oil cooler(s) and AC radiator while you've got access to them.

I think he means the air filters in the middle of the V, so they get mondo fresh air. Have any pics from the front of your car?
Very VERY nice set-up! Get some (hp) numbers after you finish the ns job! I'm curious!!!
Never wanted to go V-mount, until now
